FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Hap Cup Playoffs came to an end for the Falcons on Saturday night. The Marian Sabres sent the Falcons to 21-14-0 on the year with a 4-2 victory.

In the second period, senior Andrew Malek (Milwaukee, Wis.) tied the game on the power play, tapping in a rebound of a sophomore Rocco Cicirello (Mequon, Wis.) shot off a pass from senior Rex Staudacher (Yorkville, Ill.).
The Black and Blue reclaimed the lead in the 15th minute of the second period.
Andrew Malek struck again when he shoveled in a loose puck off a pass from senior Nolan Judge (Glendale, Ariz.) as he went down after sophomore Nolan O'Malley (Chicago, Ill.) fed the puck in.
The Sabres broke the tie on the power play in the third period and added an empty-net goal to secure the victory.
Senior Austin Bartell (New Berlin, Wis.) finished with 28 saves.
Marian reaches the Hap Cup Finals as the No. 3 seed and will face to-seeded Purdue Northwest, who edged out Marquette on Saturday.
The Falcons return to action on Feb. 20 for the Central Regional Tournament, with the new format, teams will need to win two games to advance to the ACHA National Tournament.
