ORLANDO, Fla. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's tennis team returned to the win column on Thursday with a 6-1 victory over Concordia Moorhead. The Falcons improve to 8-3 on the season with the win.
The Falcons secured the doubles point to begin the match.
The duo of sophomore Hayden Latus (Waukesha, Wis.) and freshman Murilo Zeni (Curitiba, Brazil) earned a 6-3 victory. Freshman Gustavo Funo (Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil) and freshman Renan Botelho (Itatiba, Brazil) added a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
Murilo Zeni picked up a win by retirement at No. 2 singles.
At No. 3 singles, junior Renan Revite (São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil) cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Logan Sandberg.
Gustavo Funo earned a three-set victory at No. 4 singles over Kai Pierce, 7-5, 0-6, 10-4.
Sophomore Ryan Bilan (Greendale, Wis.) defeated Kai Kringle at No. 5 singles, 6-1, 3-6, 10-5.
Renan Botelho completed the Falcons' singles wins with a 2-6, 6-3, 10-7 victory over Ryan Bitz at No. 6 singles.
Concordia closes spring break play on Friday against Alma.
