ORLANDO, Fla. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's tennis team wrapped up spring break with a victory over Alma on Friday morning. The Falcons swept the match, 7-0, closing spring break with a 3-2 record and improving to 9-3 overall.
Junior Renan Revite (São Bernardo do campo, Brazil) and junior Kristopher Greenhaw (Huntington Beach, Calif.) secured a 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles.
Freshman Justin Giese (Fort Lee, Va.) and freshman Murilo Zeni (Curitiba, Brazil) clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 victory at No. 3 doubles. The victory was the first collegiate victory for Giese.
Sophomore Hayden Latus (Waukesha, Wis.) and freshman Gustavo Funo (Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil) completed the doubles sweep at No. 1 doubles with a 6-4 victory.
Murilo Zeni zoomed past Ashton Renka at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
At No. 1 singles, Hayden Latus lassoed Jake Lasceski, 6-3, 6-1.
Freshman Renan Botelho (Itatiba, Brazil) beat Christian Beyers at No. 5 singles, 7-5, 6-0.
Kristopher Greenhaw grounded Logan Stack at No. 6 singles, 7-6 (4), 6-3.
At No. 3 singles, Renan Revite rallied to defeat Jacob McNew, 6-0, 7-6 (1), 10-7.
Sophomore Ryan Bilan (Greendale, Wis.) brought out the brooms with a victory on court four with a 4-6, 7-5, 10-6 win.
The Falcons will fly north again and turn their focus to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play on March 28 at St. Norbert.
