LISLE, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin softball team faced another tough Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC test on Saturday afternoon at Benedictine in a rematch of the 2025 NACC Tournament Finals. The Falcons took game one, 3-2, with Benedictine taking game two, 7-1. The Falcons are now 9-3 in conference play and 18-10 on the season.
Senior Maggie Plahmer (Slinger, Wis.) started the scoring on Saturday in the first inning with a single through the right side that scored junior Jenna Shadoski (Janesville, Wis.) from second base.
Junior Isa Bruno (Chicago, Ill.) then scored senior Rylie DuVal (Elgin, Ill.) with a single up the middle of the infield.
The Eagles got a run back in the fourth inning, but Maggie Plahmer earned it back with a double down the left-field line to plate Jenna Shadoski in the fifth inning.
The trio of Jenna Shadoski, Rylie DuVal and Maggie Plahmer led the Falcons with two hits in game one. Jenna Shadoski also stole a base and was hit by a pitch.
In the circle, junior Emma Shellstrom cooked the Eagles with only two runs allowed in the seven innings.
Benedictine bounced back with three runs in the first inning in game two.
Senior Julia Moker (Richfield, Wis.) put the Falcons on the scoreboard with a double to left field that scored freshman Faith Keiper (Tomball, Texas) from second base.
Both Jenna Shadoski and Isa Bruno had two hits in game two.
The Falcons look to bounce back on Sunday at Marian.
