Women’s Lacrosse Returns to the NACC Tournament

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's lacrosse team returned to the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) for the first time since 2023 on Saturday. The Falcons competed in the NACC Tournament Quarterfinals on Saturday, but fell to the MSOE Raiders, 19-7.

The Falcons started the scoring when senior Katelyn Cardinale (Mount Laurel, N.J.) scored on a low free-position shot.

A minute later, senior Makayla Spejcher (Green Bay, Wis.) scored after she wrapped around the back of the net.

The Raiders tied the game with back-to-back goals.

Junior Emily Robertson (Canton, Mich.) gave the Falcons the lead again with 3:24 left in the first quarter after she spun past two defenders.

The Red and White scored twice to take a 4-3 lead into the second quarter.

Junior Naomi Black (Ottawa, Ontario) tied the game in the second quarter with a sharp-angled shot, but MSOE scored eight goals to close the half.

Katelyn Cardinale scored in the first minute of the third quarter to cut the deficit to 5-10, but the Falcons could not stop the MSOE attack and MSOE rang off five goals to close the third quarter.

MSOE elevated the lead to 18-5 with three goals in the first five minutes of the fourth quarter.

Senior Claire Geidel (Seward, Neb.) finished her collegiate career with a free position goal on a woman-up goal.

Four minutes later, Emily Robertson scored a woman-up goal off a pass from junior Carolyn Bourgeault (Buffalo, N.Y.).

MSOE held a 46-18 advantage in shots, including a 32-9 margin of shots on goal.

Junior Parks Cawthray (Oakville, Ontario) finished with 15 saves.

Emily Robertson led the Falcons with six draw controls and Naomi Black brought in three caused turnovers.

Saturday marked the final game for Delainey McCardle (Jackson, Wis.), Makayla Spejcher, Katelyn Cardinale and Claire Geidel.

MSOE advances to the NACC Tournament Semifinals and will travel to Lake Forest

The Falcons finish the year with a 7-9 record and will be back in action in 2027.
