MEQUON, Wis. – On Wednesday morning, the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its Student-Athlete of the Week honors for Men's Lacrosse. The league's athletic communications professionals voted Nolan O'Malley as the NACC Defensive Player of the Week.
A sophomore goaltender from Chicago, Illinois, Nolan O'Malley is named the NACC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. He also claimed the honor on March 4.
The sophomore from Chicago started the week with 11 saves in at 13-10 victory at Lake Forest.
O'Malley then dominated Dubuque with 15 saves in the 9-4 victory. He also had a ground ball in the victory.
Duwayne Aikins of Illinois Tech was voted the NACC Specialist of the Week and Chris Bucci of Aurora claimed the offensive honor.
O'Malley and the Falcons return to action on Saturday against Dubuque.
