MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin women's volleyball team put together another strong campaign in 2025, finishing with a 16-13 overall record and a 10-3 mark in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play. The Falcons secured a fifth-place finish in the conference standings, advanced to the NACC Tournament Semifinals, and earned numerous individual accolades throughout the season.
Concordia opened the year by securing its first victory on September 6, battling past Pacific Lutheran in a thrilling five-set match. The Falcons continued to build momentum throughout the season and earned one of their signature victories on September 13 when they upset nationally ranked No. 13 UW-Platteville in another dramatic 3-2 contest.
The Falcons consistently competed among the conference's top teams throughout the fall, earning a trip to the NACC Tournament as the fifth seed. Concordia began postseason play with an impressive performance in the quarterfinals, sweeping fourth-seeded Lakeland 3-0 to advance to the conference semifinals. Facing top-seeded Edgewood, the Falcons pushed the Eagles to the limit before falling in a hard-fought 3-2 match, bringing their season to a close one step shy of the championship match.
The success on the court was reflected in the conference awards announced following the season. Five Falcons earned All-NACC recognition, highlighted by Brianna Lundt, being named NACC Defensive Player of the Year while also receiving First Team All-NACC honors.
Paige Stickney joined Lundt on the First Team, while
Abby Proefrock earned Second Team All-NACC recognition.
Ashley Habermehl and
McKenna Oetzman were both named All-NACC Honorable Mention selections.
Following strong performances in the conference tournament, Lundt and Proefrock were selected to the All-NACC Tournament Team after helping lead Concordia's postseason run.
The Falcons also excelled in the classroom, with four student-athletes earning College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. Kayla Mulder, Emily Dickmann, Oetzman, and
Noelle Smith were recognized for their outstanding achievements both academically and athletically.
The 2025 season showcased Concordia's resilience, competitiveness, and depth, as the Falcons earned key victories, made a deep conference tournament run, and received recognition across both athletic and academic arenas.
