MEQUON, Wis. - The Concordia University Wisconsin men's soccer team (1-5-1, 0-3 NACC) faced another conference opponent on Wednesday afternoon, falling to Aurora (5-2-1, 2-1 NACC) 2-0 at Fitting Field.

In the first half, neither side was able to find the back of the net. The Falcons' defense held strong, facing 11 shots from the Spartans.

Concordia Wisconsin had two shots total in the first frame with both of them forcing a save from Aurora's goalkeeper.

Coming out of the locker room, the Spartans' offense broke through. In the 59th minute, junior forward Frankie Jimenez slotted the ball into the bottom right corner to give Aurora a 1-0 lead.
Six minutes later, Jimenez doubled Aurora's lead with another goal, marking his fourth goal of the season.

Despite recording seven shots with four on target, the Falcons were unable to respond, as they suffered their fifth loss of the season.

Freshman forward Hayden Bumgarner (Hartland, Wis.) led Concordia Wisconsin with three shots on goal, while sophomore goalkeeper Logan Montgomery (McKinney, Texas) earned five saves in his first start of the season and second start of his career.

The Falcons will travel to Menomonie, Wisconsin to face UW-Stout on Saturday at 3 p.m. CST.
