Samantha Schoessow completed her ninth season as head coach of the Concordia University Wisconsin field hockey program in 2024. Since starting the program in 2016, Schoessow has guided the Falcons through steady growth and competitive success, building a strong foundation while setting new standards for excellence both on and off the field.
Under her leadership, CUW has produced numerous all-conference and all-region selections, highlighted by multiple postseason awards in both the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) and the newly formed Collegiate Field Hockey Conference (CFHC). The Falcons made history in 2024 with their first-ever All-CFHC honoree and continued to earn weekly conference honors and sportsmanship recognition.
The program has also made major strides academically during Schoessow’s tenure, consistently increasing its number of student-athletes on conference honor rolls and earning NFHCA National Academic Team recognition. She has helped raise the program’s profile by hosting the SAA Tournament, leading international trips, and fostering a competitive, team-first culture.
In addition to her field hockey success, Schoessow served as interim head coach for the CUW women’s lacrosse team in 2017, leading the Falcons to a share of the MWLC regular season title.
A former standout player herself, Schoessow was a two-time All-Commonwealth Conference selection and earned Second Team All-Region honors her senior year. She previously coached at Warrior Run Area High School in Pennsylvania before launching her collegiate coaching career. She is the proud mother of her son, Colton.
