Kevin Buettner

Kevin Buettner is entering his first season as the head coach of the Concordia Wisconsin women's volleyball program. Last year he joined the Falcons as an assistant coach. Before coming to CUW he accumulated 18 years of experience at all levels for both high school and club teams. 

Buettner has coached at many area clubs and high schools including Living Word Lutheran, West Bend West, Oshkosh Nightmares, West Bend Power, G-Force VBC, WILD Volleyball Club, and I AM Volleyball. While coaching, he was also the club director at WILD Volleyball Club for 7 very successful seasons. 

Before coaching Buettner played from 2002 to 2004 played libero and outside hitter for the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh men’s club team. During his playing time, he was named to the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference all-tournament team for his stellar play in the conference tournament and helped his team to a second-place finish. His short playing career ended with a trip to the NCVF nationals where he played against club teams from across the country including Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Fresno State.

Buettner earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with minors in health education, adaptive P.E. and coaching from CUW. After graduation, he spent a year and a half substitute teaching followed by the last nine years as the P.E./Health teacher and Athletic Director at St. Frances Cabrini School in West Bend.

He currently lives in Port Washington and is married to Angel and has two children, Aria and Daxton.
