Rockford
Kyle Sytsma took the 35th Falcon shot of the match with three
minutes left in the second overtime. Unlike the previous 34
attempts, this one went in and allowed Coach Tom Saleska to finally
breathe a sigh of relief. Concordia, 11-3-2, was pushed to the
limit by a Rockford team that has only one victory this season but
effectively packed everyone in defensively for nearly 117
minutes.
Bryce Bartelt assisted on the golden goal that allowed CUW to
remain in contention (7-1-0) in the NAC. Concordia has another
huge match next Wednesday when the Falcons travel to powerful MSOE
for a 7:00pm encounter.
