"We had a pretty good two days of learning and played very competitive hockey," rationalized coach Jim Ingman after his Falcons split a pair of weekend contests.

On Saturday CUW fell 4-3 in overtime to St. Catherine. In Saturday's contest the Falcon skaters rallied from a 3-1 third period deficit to tie the match at the end of regulation before falling in overtime.

Hilary Christiansen had the only goal in the first 40 minutes, but Alyssa Isaakson and Samantah Meuwissen each lit the 3rd period lamp during the stirring Falcon comeback.

Concordia outshot St. Catherine (2-0) by a 33-29 margin but the hosts Melissa Gorton recorded 30 saves.
