Goals were at a premium all weekend and Saturday's encounter was another defensive struggle as CUW played talented UW- Superior to a 1-1 overtime deadlock.

The tie ended a five game win streak for the Yellow Jackets (6-3-2) and left Jim Ingman's skaters with a 4-5-1 record. "I think we are starting to realize that we can play with the best teams," said Ingman. "We have been through a very difficult part of the schedule and I am proud of how we have competed against strong opposition."

Alisha Java gave Concordia a 1-0 lead midway through the second period off assists from Sam Meuwissen and Jaime Athens. That lead held up until Jasmine Pollock lit the lamp at 11:32 of the final frame. Superior outshot CUW 37- 31 but Falcon goalie Lea Jondal was equal to the task.
