Daytona Beach
Concordia led 34-22 at the break but a 19-4 rally over the first
five minutes of the second half turned the tables and then Point
held on for a 59- 56 win this morning in Round One of the Daytona
Classic.
Pearl Wallace (12 points) had a powerful 17 rebound performance
for CUW and teammate Camille Parsons led all scorers with 18, but
Point featured a balanced attack and one amazing flurry dropped
Stacey Brunner's squad to 5-5 on the season.
"I am very frustrated. We all are frustrated. This is a game
we should definitely have won but we did not make good decisions
offensively. We are playing a very strong non conference schedule
and I expect that will pay off, but we need to be smarter."
