Tom Saleska's booters had to work hard but finally found the answer 76 minutes into the contest as reserve Carl Haynes scored off a Jason Rogers assist to give CUW a 1-0 win over an improved Lakeland contingent. Concordia (3-0-0 in the NAC) had the better of opportunities throughout as Lakeland in Saleska's words "played back, played smart, and just tried to kick everything out".

"We did not organize very well and the surprising thing to me was that Lakeland seemed to get stronger as the match went on. They nearly tied the game in the closing minutes so hats off to them and we are just happy to get a win."
