In a game that was close from beginning to end, Lakeland made
the final run to defeat CUW last evening in a pivotal NAC
encounter.
Trailing 61-60 with less than three minutes remaining, the
Muskies got back-back 3 pointers from Khendal Andrews to turn the
game around.
The Falcons got back within three points after a Tyler Granrath
layup, but Concordia missed on their next six attempts from the
field as Lakeland built a lead that reached a game-high
eight points in the final minute.
Mitchell Schneider led Shawn Cassidy's team with a 17 point
effort and Granrath added 13 but no other Falcon reached double
figures. Jake Schwarz led Lakeland with 21 points.
The Falcons attempted 27 3's but made only 9 of those including
a combined 6-10 by Schneider and Granrath.
Both teams are now 7-8 overall on the season but Lakeland
improved to 4-3 in the NAC while CUW is 4-4.
