Concordia took a 12 point lead into halftime and never allowed the
visiting MSOE Raiders any closer than that while recording a 62- 47
win Saturday in the Buuck Fieldhouse.
Talk about balance! CUW had five players with either 9 or 10
points in the contest.
Pearl Wallace speared a dozen rebounds, the CUW defense was
stifling when it had to be, and Concordia shot 19 or 25 from the
line.
Stacey Brunner's team improved to 6-1 in the league while MSOE fell
to 4-4. Alverno's upset win over Lakeland moved Concordia into a
tie with the Muskies.
Those two teams meet Tuesday in Lakeland at 7:00pm and Coach
Brunner is hoping for a contingent of Concordia fans to make the
trip.
