Improving Concordia (1-11-0) battled #9 Adrian (7-2-0) on even
terms for the first 35 minutes of action before eventually falling
to the hosts 4-1 at the Arrington Ice Arena last evening.
Adrian's Mike Dahlinger scored just 1:25 into the contest but
CUW's Everett Devlin was outstanding for the remainder of the
period, knocking away 23 shots to keep Concordia in the game.
Russell Johnson scored on a power play for CUW at 9:07 of the
second period to tie the match at 1-1 but Adrian got a shorthanded
tally seven minutes later to circumvent the Falcon upset
dreams.
Devli wound up with 47 saves to his credit while Adrian's Brad
Fogal turned away 23 shots.
