Top seeded Foresters skate past Falcons 3-1

Top seeded Lake Forest (16-2-4) did not have an easy time with 7th seeded CUW in the first round of the conference playoffs last evening.

After building a 2-0 lead with a pair of scores late in the first period, the Foresters had to hang on when Concordia's Sarah Lichtie scored (Jaime Athens assist) to make it 2-1 with 3:34 left in the contest.

The hosts settled the issue in the final minute on a power play goal to drop Jim Ingman's skaters to 9-12-3 on the season.
