Concordia led 15-1 after two innings but eventually got a battle
from winless Maranatha before recording a 20-11 win in the first
game of Monday's doubleheader.
CUW had 17 hits by the end of the second inning in building the
huge lead.
The Crusaders, however, came back with 7 5th inning runs
and another 3 in the sixth to make a game of it at 15-11.
The outcome was not secure until Concordia scored 4 more in the
ninth to provide a comfortable cushion.

Teammates Ryan Schilter and Nick Doedens had 3 hits each.
