Milwaukee
Concordia's red-hot women's basketball team won their eighth
consecutive conference game today, defeating MSOE 64-55 in
Milwaukee.
The cold-shooting Falcons struggled to a 31-26 lead at the half
against the Raiders (5-7), but built their cushion to 20 with five
minutes remaining and held on with good free throw shooting down
the stretch.
Tiffany Hendrickson led CUW with 17 points, but was only 4-14 from
the floor. Her 7-8 free throw marksmanship during the final four
minutes of the contest was critical.
Kendall Kerns (14), Becky Gifford (13), Emily Wesley (8), and Katie
Luethe (6) were all part of a balanced attack that offset Carol
Cayo's 28 point performance for MSOE.
