MEQUON,
Wis. - After a road trip to St. Cloud, Minn. a week ago
for two games against St. John's University, the Concordia
University Wisconsin men's hockey team will be in action at home
this weekend against MCHA rival Adrian College.
The Falcons (1-7-2,
1-5-1 MCHA) are coming off a 2-2 tie with St. John's last Saturday,
and will be hoping to build some momentum against another top-tier
opponent.
CUW has gone 1-1-1 in
its last three games, defeating Lake Forest College on November 12
before going 0-1-1 against the Johnnies last weekend.
Sophomore Russell
Johnson (Monticello, Minn.) leads the team with seven goals and
eight points overall, while sophomore Shay Klitzke (Annandale,
Minn.) and freshman Lukas Allen (Lakeville, Minn.) have added seven
points each.
Adrian (6-3-0, 5-1-0
MCHA) is currently ranked 9th nationally according to USCHO.com,
and leads the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association with a +26 goal
differential.
The Bulldogs are led by
forward Zach Graham, who has scored four goals to go with eight
assists.
After winning six of
their first seven games, Adrian has dropped its last two, falling
to UW-Eau Claire and St. Thomas (Minn.) last weekend.
Friday's game is set to
start at 7:30 pm, before Saturday's game begins at 2 pm.
