Falcon baseball falls 5-3

Phoenix, AZ

CUW fell to 2-2 on their Arizona trip after a 5-3 loss to the College of New Jersey (now 8-2) Sunday afternoon.

Concordia took a 2-0 lead in the first inning but the winners came back with a 3 run 5th to take a lead they would never relinquish.

The Falcons had the tying runs on base in the ninth but CUW's Austin Sarauer flew out deep to center to end the game.

Ryan Schilter led the Concordia offense with 3 hits while Matt Schilter and Matt Mayer had two hits apiece.

Val Keiper's team plays a twin bill against Augsburg today (Monday) beginning at 3pm.
