Mequon, Wis. --
Tom Saleska's Falcons stayed perfect (3-0-0 in the NAC) with a shutout victory over visiting Maranatha (3-5-0) this afternoon.

In this case the final 2-0 score did not demonstrate the absolute domination by Concordia University Wisconsin, as the Falcons outshot MBBC by a 28-1 count with no saves required by CUW senior goalie Enrique Alvarado (Elgin, Ill.)

Defender Jacob Pope (sophomore, Muskego, Wis.) gave CUW a 1-0 lead with a score just sixteen minutes into the contest. Sophomore Alberto Valle (Milwaukee, Wis.) got the assist on that tally.

Junior Kyle Sytsma (Antioch, Ill.) fed junior James Kroll (York, Ill.) for a second score at 28:48 but subsequent CUW shots misfired or were gobbled up by Crusader goalie Jon Gress who made 10 saves as the visitors packed in their defense.

CUW, 7-4-0 overall, got significant minutes for 21 players during the course of the match.

The Falcons host Aurora at Fitting Field on Saturday at 1:00pm.
