MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Hockey team and St. Norbert College entered the third period of Friday night's NCHA clash tied at 1-1. From there, the visiting Green Knights would use a three-goal third period, the first of those scored just 13 seconds into the stanza, to down the Falcons by a 4-1 score at the Ozaukee Ice Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Green Knights third period was the difference as Emily Bondrager got the scoring started in the final stanza just 13 seconds into play. Reaghan Chadwick (power play) and KJ Wallace added goals in the third period for St. Norbert.
- The opening period saw the visiting Green Knights build a 1-0 lead over the Falcons with a Kylie Gazzolo goal 12:57 into play. Wallace and Kenna Farrey assisted on the opening score.
- The Falcons would get back in it on a power play goal 9:11 into the second period, coming from senior Jayda Hoerres (Melrose, Wis.). Sophomore Lexi Holman (Sauk Rapids, Minn.) and senior Lexi Machuga (Rochester Hills, Mich.) assisted on the Hoerres score.
- St. Norbert used a heavy advantage in shots on Friday to gain the conference win. The Green Knights had a 38-18 edge, but surprisingly just a 10-9 advantage in the third period.
- Freshman Christina Pattengale (Portage, Mich.) did an outstanding job of keeping the Falcons in the game during the first two periods. She stopped 27 of the first 28 shots she faced and finished the night with 34 saves for the Falcons.
- Leigh Grall picked up the win for St. Norbert, her third of the season. Grall stopped 17 shots, including all nine she faced in the final 20 minutes of play.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- This was the second time CUW and St. Norbert met this season and Friday's result was exactly the same as the first game, which was a road contest for the Falcons. Both games ended with 4-1 finals.
- The Falcons have now scored a power play in five straight games and seven-of-nine this season. CUW has converted on an impressive 32.4 percent (11-for-34) of its power plays.

- These two teams will meet again tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the Ozaukee Ice Center. Tomorrow, which will be a doubleheader with the men's team, will also be Pink the Rink.
