Baseball stumbles on season opening day against Dubuque, Luther

TUSCON, Ariz. – The Falcons fell in their season opener 8-3 to Dubuque and then struggled against Luther in a 17-2 loss on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 -In the season opener against the Spartans, the Falcons scored three runs in the final two innings.
-Joseph Zywiciel (Bolingbrook, Ill.) led the Falcons with two hits, driving in a run with a triple and later scoring.
-In the following game against the Norse, the Falcons had six hits.
-Drew Barth (Pewaukee, Wis.) had a double for the Falcons in their two-run seventh inning.
