MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons had a pair of walk-off victories over the Warriors on Monday as Concordia Wisconsin defeated Wisconsin Lutheran 1-0 in game one and 12-11 in game two.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-In the opening game of the day, the Falcons held the Warriors to one hit through ten innings. Lukas Meerdink (Oostburg, Wis.) allowed just the one hit through nine innings pitched as he walked only two while striking out nine.
-Though the Falcons had chances in the first nine innings, CUW didn't manage to get on the board until the tenth inning.
-In the tenth, Johannes Haakenson (Janesville, Wis.) hit a double with one out to get himself in scoring position. Haakenson advanced to third on a groundout, leaving the game-winning run 90 feet away with two outs.
-Charlie Rodriguez (Tinley Park, Ill.) entered the game as a pinch hitter and proceeded to win the game for the Falcons with an RBI single to second base.
-Game two started out strong for CUW as they got themselves a 6-1 lead through the first three innings.
-In the fourth, however, the Warriors scored eight runs to take the lead away.
-The Falcons and Warriors each scored once more before the Falcons strung together a four-run inning in the seventh to take an 11-10 lead.
-WLC answered in the top of the eighth with another run to tie the game at 11-11.
-This time the Falcons took care of things before the game could go to extras. With runners on the corners and two outs, Jared Chesak (West Bend, Wis.) hit a tough grounder that the Warrior third baseman couldn't handle, letting Drew Barth (Pewaukee, Wis.) score the game-winner.
