HAMMOND, Ind. – The Falcons got back in the win column on Saturday night with a 4-3 victory at Purdue Northwest.
"It was a great team effort to get the win," said head coach Brandon Richards. "The boys were resilient and stuck to the game plan. It's nice to finally have our hard work pay off."
The Pride struck first in the first period to take an early lead on Saturday.
Sophomore Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) leveled the game at one goal.
Sophomore Easton Williams (Racine, Wis.) closed the first period scoring with a goal from senior Wyatt Wilderman (Bear Dance, Mont.).
Sophomore Liam Butler (Oak Lawn, Ill.) extended the lead to open the second period.
Purdue Northwest did not fold and tied the game.
Trenton Sherman struck again in the third period to secure the victory off a pass from Easton Williams.
Sophomore Ian Robertson (Calgary, Alta.) collected 27 saves in the victory.
The Falcons will travel to Lewis on Friday.
