SAULT STE MARIE, Mich. – The CUW ACHA men's hockey team rebounded on Saturday with a 6-2 victory at Lake Superior State on Saturday night.
Senior Andrew Doepp started the scoring on Saturday night with a first-period goal off assists from sophomore Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) and sophomore Easton Williams (Racine, Wis.).
Freshman John Swiatek found the back of the net off a pass from freshman EJ Halleck (Cape Coral, Fla.).
The Falcons broke away from the Lakers with three goals in the second period from Trenton Sherman, sophomore Logan Hascarl (Nakusp, B.C.) and sophomore Connor Doyle (Naples, Fla.).
Sophomore Liam Butler (Oak Law, Wis.) tallied the final goal of the night with an assist to junior Ethan Natzke.
Sophomore Mack Willy (Tacoma, Wash.) wrangled 35 saves in the victory.
CUW looks to complete the sweep of Lake Superior State on Sunday afternoon.
