SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The CUW ACHA men's hockey team rallied to defeat Lake Superior State on Sunday afternoon to secure the weekend sweep with a 5-3 victory.

The Lakers opened the game on a 3-0 run to start the game.

The Falcons tied the game up with three second period goals from sophomore Liam Butler (Oak Lawn, Ill.), sophomore Easton Williams and freshman Dylan Tschbold (Solothurn, Switzerland)

Sophomore Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) found the back of the net 24 seconds into the third period off assists to freshman Nick Morch (Barrington, Ill.) and sophomore Connor Doyle.

Freshman John Swiatek had the final goal off a pass from sophomore Scott Gregor (Ashland, Wis.).

Sophomore Ian Robertson (Calgary, Alta.) had two saves in the start and sophomore Mack Willy (Tacoma, Wash.) collected 16 saves with the victory.

The Falcons host Aurora on Wednesday night.
