LISLE, Ill. – The Falcons were handed their first loss of the season on Saturday with a 55-17 defeat at Benedictine. The loss sends CUW to 2-1 on the season and 0-1 in the NACC.
The Eagles took a 6-0 lead into the second quarter.
Sophomore Zach Heinen (Sand Springs, Okla.) put the Falcons on the scoreboard with a 40-yard field goal.
The Eagles went on a 28-0 run to extend the lead.
Junior Michael Joshua Jr. (Richton Park, Ill.) closed the first half with a two-yard rush to the left side of the line.
Senior Eli Wallace (Davenport, Iowa) closed the scoring when he recovered a fumble on a punt.
The Falcons look to bounce back on Saturday against Concordia Chicago.
