Baseball Slashes St. Norbert 

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin baseball team brought out the brooms on Sunday with an 11-1, 13-3 sweep over St. Norbert. The sweep sends the Falcons to 16-11 on the year and 8-5 in the NACC.  

The Falcons scored early and often in game one.  

Senior Sean Tillmon (Plainfield, Ill.) started the attack in the first inning with a sacrifice fly to right field that score senior Johannes Haakenson (Janesville, Wis.).  

The Green Knights scored their lone run of the game in the second inning. 

Sophomore Josh Aguiniga (Chicago, Ill.) tied the game with a single through the left side of the infield to score junior Jimmy Juergensen (Cedarburg, Wis.).  

In the third inning, senior Tristan Largent (Verona, Wis.) singled through the right side of the infield to score senior Daniel Hahn (Cudahy, Wis.).  

The Birds broke open the game in the fifth inning with three runs.  

Daniel Hahn started the scoring with a sacrifice fly that allowed Johannes Haakenson to trot home.  

Jimmy Juergensen sent a laser down the right-field line to score Tristan Largent. Matt Miller smacked a single through the left side of the infield that scored sophomore Kyle Flynn (Nashville, Tenn.).  

The Falcons tore the Green Knights apart with four more runs in the sixth inning to activate the mercy rule.  

Danial Hahn started the scoring again in the sixth inning with a single that dropped into right field to plate senior Dillan Fike (Oak Lawn, Ill.).  

Sean Tillmon tripled into the gap in right-center field to score Daniel Hahn and Johannes Haakenson. Tillmon then scored on a wild pitch.  

Josh Aguiniga closed the scoring on a single to right field that scored Kyle Flynn.  

Senior Ryan Green (Green Bay, Wis.) was not kind to the Green and Gold on Sunday and recorded three strikeouts and only allowed four hits in the victory on the mound.  

Kyle Flynn stole a base in game one.  

Johannes Haakenson had three hits in game one.  

The Falcons threw the first punch in game two with five runs in the first inning.  

Tristan Largent doubled into the gap in left-center field to clear the bases of Sean Tillmon and Daniel Hahn.  

Jimmy Juergensen crushed the ball out of the park with a home run over the fence in right field to score Tristan Largent. Josh Aguiniga then singled through the middle of the infield to score freshman Matt Miller (Fredonia, Wis.).  

The Green Knights responded with three runs in the second inning.  

It was all Falcons from there. Freshman Tyler Bartczak (Crestwood, Ill.) froze the Green and Gold on the mound and did not allow a hit, and finished with six strikeouts.  

In the bottom half of the second inning, Jimmy Juergensen struck again with a double into the gap in right-center to empty the bases that were loaded with Tristan Largent, Sean Tillmon and Daniel Hahn.  

The Falcons struck again in the sixth inning on the bat of Tristan Largent with a shot to shortstop that scored Daniel Hahn.  

The birds brought four more runs onto the scoresheet in the seventh inning to bring the mercy rule again.  

Johannes Haakenson singled to center field scoring sophomore Brynden Cleveland (Crestwood, Ill.).  

Sean Tillmon sunk the ball to center field to land Johannes Haakenson on home plate. 

A single from Tristan Largent to right field plated Daniel Han.  

Jimmy Juergensen sent the ball to second base and Sean Tillmon crossed home plate to end the game.  

Sean Tillmon secured four hits in game two.  

The Falcons return to action on Wednesday against the Sabres of Marian.
