DE PERE, Wis. – The Falcons had their first road trip of the season on Wednesday night. St. Norbert improved to 2-0 on the year with a 4-3 victory. The Falcons move to 1-2 on the young season.
St. Norbert started the evening by taking the doubles point.
Senior Peyton Morgan (Arlington Heights, Ill.) and sophomore Morgan Chyla (Salem Lakes, Wis.) put up a fight at No. 1 doubles, but fell in a tiebreaker.
Freshman Jeanie Eisen (West Bend, Wis.) defeated Alyssa Tegan at No. 6 singles, 7-6 (5), 6-2.
Freshman Ruth Dolde (Fort Wayne, Ind.) rallied at No. 5 singles, sinking Paige Diercks, 4-6, 6-4, 6-0.
Junior Abby Schwartz (Brookfield, Wis.) also came back on court four with a 1-6, 7-6 (4) 6-2 victory over Anna Vechart.
The match came down to No. 1 singles, where St. Norbert secured the victory.
The Falcons look to bounce back on Saturday against Lakeland and Alverno.
