CHICAGO – The Falcons battled in a late-night contest in Chicago on Tuesday night. Illinois Tech defended its courts on Tuesday night with a 5-2 victory to send the Falcons to 3-3 on the year and to 3-2 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. The Scarlet Hawks started the evening by taking the doubles point with victories on all three courts.

Illinois Tech added to the lead with a victory on court two.

Sophomore Payton Steward (Appleton, Wis.) put the Falcons on the scoreboard with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Angelica Conwell at No. 5 singles.

Freshman Jeanie Eisen (West Bend, Wis.) tied the match at No. 6 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Ehea Karamuru.

The Scarlet Hawks reclaimed the lead with a victory at No. 1 singles.

IIT secured the victory with a victory at No. 4 singles.

Freshman Ruth Dolde (Fort Wayne, Ind.) forced a third set against Paige Geiger with a 6-3 victory. IIT secured the third set to end the match.

The Falcons return to action in October when they travel back down to Illinois to face Concordia Chicago.
