MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's volleyball team soared to a 25-13, 26-24, 25-13 victory on Wednesday night. The Falcons improved to 5-9 on the year and 2-0 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) with the victory on Dig Pink Night.

The Scarlet Hawks jumped out to an early 4-0 lead on Wednesday night. The Falcons quickly flipped the script and pushed the lead to 11-7 with a block from junior Skylar Kumprey (New Berlin, Wis.) and senior Noelle Smith (Davenport, Iowa). The Falcons used a 5-0 run behind the serve of senior Brianna Lundt (Rosendale, Wis.) to elevate the lead to 20-10. An attack error gave the Falcons the set at 25-13.

The second set proved to be a back-and-forth battle between the two teams. The Falcons surged to a 19-15 lead with a kill from senior Abby Proefrock (Grafton, Wis.). Momentum quickly turned as Illinois Tech then claimed the lead at 22-21. Both teams had a set point that was fought off before a block for senior Paige Stickney (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) ended the set at 26-24.

The Falcons jumped out to an early lead with the serve of Brianna Lundt and never looked back. The Falcons pushed the lead to 12 points on two occasions and ended the fight with a kill from junior Emily Dickmann (Grafton, Wis.) at 25-13.

Sophomore Olivia Ibeling (Cambridge, Wis.) led the match with 10 kills on Wednesday night.

Brianna Lundt was brilliant again at the back line and finished with 14 digs, four assists and two service aces.

Paige Stickney and Noelle Smith both had three blocks in the victory.
