MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's soccer team suffered a tough defeat against Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons are now 2-8-3, and 1-5-1 in conference play.
The MSOE offense held strong against the visiting Falcons, holding the Blue and Grey scoreless until the final nine minutes of the contest. CUW's sole goal came from junior
Ben Yang (Anoka, Minn.). In only his sixth appearance this season, Yang scored his second career goal, first this season. After a miscommunication by the Raiders defense, the junior was able to put the ball in the net.
The Raiders defense was also held their own against the Falcons. CUW was held to six shots, one on goal. Sophomore
Jahsiah Acosta (Milwaukee, Wis.) was the sole Falcon to attempt two shots.
Senior
Enrique Torres (Eau Claire, Wis.) played in net for the Blue and Grey. Torres faced 11 shots, and collected three saves.
Concordia Wisconsin will remain on the road to face Rockford in Illinois on Wednesday, October 15. The match is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m. at Sam Greeley Field in Rockford, Ill.
