BALTIMORE - The Concordia Wisconsin field hockey team faced a setback against Goucher to complete the squad's time on the East Coast. The 0-2 loss puts the Falcons at 4-7 on the season and 0-2 in CFHC play.
Despite the Gophers maintaining control of the ball, CUW got four shots off, three on goal. Freshman
Kaitlin Baylen (Antioch, Ill.) had two shots, both of which were on goal. Senior
Katelyn Cardinale (Mt. Laurel, N.J.) also had two shots. Fellow senior
Katie Quirke (Antioch, Ill.) had the last Falcon shot on goal.
In goal for the Royal Blue and Grey was sophomore
Parks Cawthray (Oakville, Ont.). Cawthray collected 11 saves while facing 22 shots. They are now 2-6 on the year.
Up next for Concordia Wisconsin will be a trip down south to play Sewanee and Rhodes in Tennessee next weekend. Up first will be Sewanee in Sewanee, Tenn., on Saturday, Oct. 25, at noon. On Sunday, the Falcons will visit Rhodes in Memphis, with this game also starting at noon.
