SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Concordia Wisconsin field hockey team began its trip to Tennessee with a 0-5 loss to Sewanee. This pushed the team's losing streak to six as they continue to search for a conference win.
The CUW offense was held to only one shot during the contest. It was a shot on goal by junior
Leah Mouganis (Pittsburg, Pa.) in the fourth quarter. The Falcons were awarded one penalty corner during the contest, which was taken by junior
Bella Vandeloecht (St. Louis, Mo.).
On defense, junior
Parks Cawthray (Oakville, Ont.) made the start for the Falcons, playing the first 15 minutes of the game. Sophomore
Carlijn van der Bend (Vootburg, Netherlands) subbed in for the final 45 minutes of the contest. Both goalkeepers collected three saves each. Vandeloecht also earned the team's only defensive save.
The Falcons will head west to play Rhodes tomorrow in Memphis, Tenn. The contest is slated for noon at Mason Field.
