Women’s Cross Country Battles at the Blugold Invitational

COLFAX, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's cross country team ran against the best of the best in the Midwest at the 2025 Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational on Friday morning. The Falcons finished in 17th place in the 36-team field at the Whitetail Course with 441 points. The race was moved up due to the morning due to the temperature. Wisconsin – La Crosse claimed the team title with 117 points.

Junior Emma Ahrens (Stephens City, Va.) ran another amazing race and finished in ninth place at 22:35.1.

Senior Melanie Arvis (Berwyn, Ill.) soared to a 31st place finish at 23:22.1.

Senior Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) placed 83rd with a time of 24:09.3.

In 157th place was senior Abigail Poehlman (Hubertus, Wis.) at 24:56.6.

Junior Abigail Lange (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.) crossed the finish line at 25:58.6 in 219th place.

Senior Elizabeth Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) ran a time of 26:07.2 to finish in 223rd place.

Junior Mikayla Becker (Plantation, Fla.) brought in 243rd place at 26:34.5.

Junior Bailee Schlender (Brillion, Wis.) snagged 282nd place at 27:55.3.

Junior Sydney Leschisin (Turtle Lake, Wis.) secured a time of 29:48.8 in 316th place.

In 328th place was freshman Nia Petropoulos (Muskego, Wis.) crossing the finish at 32:17.4.

Junior Jenna Oberly (Dearborn, Mich.) clocked in at 32:28.2 in her CUW debut to end up in 330th place in the loaded field.

The Falcons will return to action on October 18 at the Concordia Wisconsin Cross Country Course for the Wisconsin Private college Championships.
