MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's tennis team ended the fall season on Wednesday with a 5-2 victory over MSOE. The win secures a home match in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament in April. Concordia closes the fall season at 5-4 and 5-3 in the NACC.

Freshman Taylor Weiner (Bakersfield, Calif.) and junior Payton Steward (Appleton, Wis.) rumbled over the Raiders to start the day with a victory at No. 2 doubles.

Freshman Abigail Haley (Frohna, Mo.) and sophomore Katelyn de Guzman (Belvidere, Ill.) clinched the doubles point for the Falcons with a 6-3 victory at No. 3 doubles.

Payton Steward silenced Amelia Segelstrom at No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-1.

The Raiders cut into the Concordia lead with a victory on court one.

Abigail Haley cruised past Lana Brooks at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 4-1. The match ended early due to retirement.

Katelyn de Guzman clinched the victory at No. 5 singles against Simona Sulinas, 6-3, 6-2.

Taylor Weiner wrapped up the blue points at No. 6 singles with a 6-1, 7-6 victory over Emily Gutkneckt.

With the victory, the Falcons will host MSOE in the NACC Women's Tennis Tournament Quarterfinals on April 27.

The Falcons will return to action in January at Saint Mary's in Minnesota.
