MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's basketball team fell on the road Wednesday night, dropping a 61-32 decision to MSOE. The Falcons move to 2-5 overall and 3-1 in NACC play.
CUW opened the game strong, scoring seven unanswered points out of the gate. Junior
Andrea Butterbrodt (Green Bay, Wis.) sparked the early run with back-to-back layups, followed by a three-pointer from sophomore
Gracie McNabb (Grafton, Wis.). The Falcons maintained the advantage throughout the first quarter and held a 16-12 lead after 10 minutes.
MSOE pulled even at 20 midway through the second quarter and controlled the remainder of the game, limiting the Falcons offensively over the final three periods.
Butterbrodt paced CUW with 11 points and five rebounds. Freshman
Amya Pluess (Burlington, Wis.) and junior
Jayden Ross (Baraboo, Wis.) added five points each.
The Falcons return to action on Monday, Dec. 15, hosting Edgewood inside the R. John Buuck Field House. It will also be Grafton Night in Mequon. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
