NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's track & field team opened the two-day competition at the North Central First Chance Meet. The Falcons competed in the weight throw and 3000-meter steeplechase competitions.
A trio of Falcons competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase on Friday night. Freshman Jonah Slavik (Muskego, Wis.) finished in 11th place at 10:26.53, just ahead of senior Jaden Schultz (Havana, Ill.) in 12th place at 10:41.03. Sophomore Riley Johnson (Cedar Lake, Ind.) was in 21st place at 11:37.07.
Three Falcons also participated in the weight throw competition. Junior John Kutner (Muskego, Wis.) led the flock in 25th place at 37.68 meters. Freshman Hayden Kettmann (Beecher, Ill.) had a mark of 29.82 in 38th place. Freshman Clayton Nichols (Oconomowoc, Wis.) reached 26.81 meters in 41st place.
Concordia Wisconsin will compete on the second day of the competition on Saturday.
