CUW Secures Fourth at Private College Championships

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Falcons delivered a strong performance at the Wisconsin Private College Championships, held at Historic Raabe Stadium, in their third meet of the outdoor season. With a total of 78 points, they took fourth place, while Carthage claimed first with 206 points.

In the 4x100 meter relay, the Falcons' team, composed of freshman Victor Watson Jr. (Cypress, Texas), sophomore Se'Korrey Thomas (Punta Gorda, Fla.), freshman Brock Roseman (Pueblo, Colo.), and junior Jalen Pressley (Leesburg, Fla.) – captured third place with a time of 44.11 seconds.

Junior Brandon Donahue (Hubertus, Wis.) earned second place in the 110-meter hurdles, clocking in at 16.31 seconds.

In the 100-meter dash, Pressley finished second with a time of 11.08 seconds, while Thomas placed sixth at 11.29 seconds.

Wendland secured third place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.65 seconds.

Senior Zach Leahy (West Dundee, Ill.) claimed a gold medal in the 800-meter run, finishing first with a time of 1:57.40.

In the 400-meter hurdles, sophomore Luke Witte (Monroe, Mich.) placed seventh with a time of 1:04.53, contributing valuable points to the team's total.

In the 1500-meter, senior Timmy Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) finished fourth overall with a time of 4:06.01, while freshman Jonah Slavik (Jackson, Wis.) took eighth place with a time of 4:10.32.

Freshman Lucas Mathes (Brillion, Wis.) added another point for the Falcons, finishing eighth in the long jump with a distance of 6.02 meters.

In the distance events, the Falcons had strong showings from sophomore duo Isaiah Lubner (Campbellsport, Wis.) and Mason Everts (Saukville, Wis.). Lubner dominated the 5000-meter race, taking first place with a time of 15:45.51, while Everts finished seventh in 16:45.42.

In the javelin, the Falcons showcased their strength with four athletes in the top seven. Freshman Justin Clark (Goodyear, Ariz.) earned third place with a throw of 45.16 meters, while senior Holte Gette (Batavia, Ill.) followed in fourth with a throw of 44.78 meters. Witte placed sixth with a 39.50-meter throw, and junior Nick Taylor (West Bend, Wis.) finished seventh at 39.12 meters.

Next week, the Falcons will head west to compete at the UW-Platteville meet.
