Softball Senior Duo Named to Oshkosh All-Regional Team

OSHKOSH, Wis. – On Saturday evening, Wisconsin-Oshkosh announced the NCAA Division III Oshkosh Regional All-Tournament Team. The Concordia Wisconsin softball team landed two selections with Jasmine Freeze and Jess Pozezinski.

A senior shortstop from Lake Villa, Illinois, Jess Pozezinski is claiming her first NCAA Regional honor. Pozezinski had a hit in all three games, including two hits in the first game against Oshkosh. She had a three-run home run to down the Dutch of Central. Pozezinski was also walked twice.

A senior pitcher and designated player from Bolingbrook, Illinois, Jasmine Freeze is also claiming her first NCAA Regional accolade. Freeze threw three innings in the victory over Central on Friday. At the plate, she brought fear to the pitchers in Oshkosh, with five hits on the weekend. She crushed three hits against Central with two doubles and a three-run home run.

Also on the Oshkosh Region All-Tournament Team were Rylee Dunkin of Central, Brianna Bougie, Abby Garceau, and Grace Nardi of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and Jesse Klicker, Kaitlyn Roberts, Ashley Zygowski, and Morgan Hardwood as the Most Outstanding Player from Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Wisconsin Stevens Point advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals against Trine with a 3-1 victory over Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the winner-take-all game.
