LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released its 2025 Scholar All-America and Team Awards on Wednesday morning, with senior attackman Max Esposito (Gaithersburg, Md.) once again making history for Concordia University Wisconsin. Esposito became the first player in program history to be named a USILA Scholar All-American in back-to-back seasons.
The prestigious academic accolade is the latest in a long list of postseason honors for Esposito, who also earned a spot on the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) Region Five First Team earlier this summer. He previously picked up USILA and Lacrosse Magazine All-America Honorable Mention recognition and was selected to the USILA All-Region Team.
In the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC), Esposito capped his career by being named Offensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season and earning All-Conference First Team honors.
The 2025 campaign saw Esposito lead the NACC in both points per game (5.60) and assists per game (3.75), ranking ninth nationally in each category. He started all 20 games and finished with 49 goals, 63 assists, and 112 total points — while also collecting 31 ground balls and causing eight turnovers. His seven hat tricks and six games with five or more assists included standout performances like eight assists against Carroll (April 7) and nine points versus Beloit (April 12).
Off the field, Esposito was also named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District at-large honoree and advanced to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
He was the only NACC student-athlete to receive USILA Scholar All-America distinction and one of just two honorees from Wisconsin, alongside Carthage's Andrew Frey.
