MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons dominated once again on Saturday morning. The Concordia Wisconsin women's cross country team defended the home course with a first-place finish with 24 points.
Junior Emma Ahrens (Stephens City, Va.) secured her best career time when notched another victory to her phenomenal career with a winning time of 22:21.9. This is the second time that she won the Ken Weidt Classic, the first coming in 2023.
The amazing senior Ainara Sainz de Rozas (Madrid, Spain) finished in second place at 22:51.3.
Senior Melanie Arvis (Berwyn, Ill.) baked up a sensational finish in fourth place at 23:23.7.
Senior Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) surged to eighth place on Saturday at 24:32.7.
Junior Abigail Lange (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.) was in 11th place at 25:05.1, just a head of senior Abigail Poehlman (Hubertus, Wis.) in 12th place at 25:09.0.
Junior Mikayla Becker (Plantation, Fla.) crushed the home course in 14th place at 25:20.2.
Senior Elizabeth Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) ran an excellent race in 20th place at 26:19.5.
In 38th place was junior Bailee Schlender (Brillion, Wis.) at 27:37.1
Junior Hailey Foster (Pewaukee, Wis.) finished at 27:51.5 in 43rd place.
Freshman Nia Petropoulos (Muskego, Wis.) picked up 67th place in her collegiate debut at 30:44.1
The Falcons will run again on Oct. 3 at the Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugold Invite.
