Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's soccer team had a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) road test on Wednesday night at Aurora. The Falcons fell in the Land of Lincoln, 5-1. The loss sends the flock to 1-4-3 on the year and 0-2-1 in the NACC.
The Black and Blue kept the Concordia defense on its toes and peppered the CUW net with some early shots.
The Spartans struck first with a goal from 12-yards out in the 25th minute.
Freshman Nathan Green (St. Louis, Mo.) had the first look of the evening for the Falcons in the 36th minute with a shot from 30-yards out.
Aurora held a 13-1 advantage in shots at halftime.
The Spartans struck again in the 48th minute scoring off a rebound.
Sophomore Jahsiah Acosta (Milwaukee, Wis.) and a shot for the Falcons in the 55th minute.
Freshman Ronan Kessler (Glenview, Ill.) had a great shot that curved just right of the frame in the 61st minute.
Aurora struck again in the 76th minute.
Two minutes later, sophomore Huba Hajdu (Las Vegas, Nev.) scored on a free kick from 40-yards out.
Aurora then scored on the following kick off during the confusion.
The Black and Blue tried to add to the lead late with a penalty kick but missed high.
Aurora added a goal in the 89th minute.
Freshman Connor Fitch (Eaton, Ohio) finished with seven saves.
The Spartans held a 25-4 advantage in shots and 5-0 in penalty corners.
The Falcons have one last non-conference test left and will host Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday afternoon.
