WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Concordia University Wisconsin field hockey team was handing their first loss of the season against Roanoke College in a neutral site game. Washington & Jefferson, who the Falcons beat yesterday, hosted the two teams. The Maroons beat CUW, 0-2.

This was the third matchup between the two team with Roanoke, the last being on October, 10, 2021. The Maroons hold the edge over the Falcons, leading the series 3-0.

Despite the loss, the CUW defense held strong with junior goalie
Parks Cawthray (Oakville, Ont.) leading the charge. Cawthray record 10 saves off of 18 shouts by Roanoke. On offense, freshman
Charlie Coln (St. Louis, Mo.) was the only Falcon to record a shot.

Concordia Wisconsin will travel to Richmond, Ind. to play Whittenburg University on the campus of Earlham College. The game is set for Sunday Sept. 14 at noon ET.
