Box Score MEQUON, Wis. – There was plenty to celebrate for the Concordia Wisconsin women's hockey team on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons honored the senior class of 2026 and extended the program's best winning streak to 12 games with a dominant 9–0 victory, improving to 13-1-0 on the season.
Prior to puck drop, Concordia recognized seniors Kaitlyn Hansen (Chisago, Minn.), Charlotte Toor (Hartland, Mich.), Hailey Calliguri (Lonsdale, Minn.) and Makayla Spejcher (Green Bay, Wis.).
The Falcons wasted little time getting on the board. Freshman Abby Hansberger (Elk River, Minn.) opened the scoring with a blast from the slot after crisp tic-tac-toe passing from junior Brenna-Grace Dittmer (Chatham-Kent, Ontario) and Spejcher.
Just two minutes later, junior Mackaylan McGown (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) charged down the ice and buried a shot to make it 2–0. Concordia struck again 34 seconds later when Spejcher finished off a feed from sophomore Scout Stromberg (Tomahawk, Wis.) to close out the first-period scoring.
McGown added her second of the game early in the second period with the Falcons' first shorthanded goal of the season, stealing the puck near the far blue line and cruising in alone. Spejcher followed with her second goal of the afternoon on the power play, assisted by Hansberger and junior Naomi Black (Ottawa, Ontario).
Moments later, senior Charlotte Toor capped off Senior Day with a goal of her own, firing a shot from the doorstep after a pass from junior Chanler Taylor (Bloomington, Ill.) from behind the net.
Junior Ava Litkey (Kenosha, Wis.) started the third-period scoring with a shot through traffic from the blue line, set up by freshman Emma Geffre (St. Louis, Mo.) and McGown. Sophomore Kayla Gomes (Harrow, Ontario) then tapped in a rebound off a Stromberg shot, with a secondary assist from freshman Maddy Jugan (Hartford, Wis.).
Gomes closed out the scoring on the power play, finishing passes from sophomore Gabby Cicirello (Mequon, Wis.) and freshman Julie Barlow (Bassano, Alberta). The performance marked the first multi-goal game of Gomes' career.
Between the pipes, junior Eva Kingston (Brooks, Alberta) was perfect in her first appearance in a Concordia Wisconsin jersey, stopping all 18 shots she faced.
Saturday marked the third time this season the Falcons have scored multiple power-play goals in a game. Concordia finished with a 45–18 advantage in shots and blocked 10 shots defensively, with Litkey leading the way with four blocks.
The Falcons have now gone four consecutive games without allowing a goal — the longest shutout streak in program history. Concordia also controlled the faceoff circle once again, led by Hansberger, who won 10 of her 14 draws.
Concordia Wisconsin returns to Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) play on Friday night when the Falcons travel to face No. 7 St. Norbert.
