Men’s Basketball Cruises Past Dominican, 91–65

RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's basketball team delivered a dominant road performance, cruising to a 91–65 victory over Dominican on Wednesday night. With the win, the Falcons completed a season sweep of the Stars, extended their advantage in the all-time series to 27–7, and improved to 8–9 overall and 6–5 in NACC play.

Concordia Wisconsin set the tone early, outscoring Dominican 27–12 in the opening 10 minutes of the contest. The surge included a decisive 17–2 run over nearly three and a half minutes. Junior Severin Hilt (West Bend, Wis.) fueled the run with eight points, highlighted by back-to-back three-pointers to cap the stretch, while freshman Alex Greene (Milwaukee, Wis.) also connected from beyond the arc.

The Falcons' offensive momentum carried through the remainder of the first half, as they took a 50–31 lead into the break. CUW shot an impressive 66.7 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes, going 18-for-27 overall and 4-for-8 from three-point range.

Concordia maintained its strong play throughout the second half, building its lead to a game-high 25 points with 10:10 remaining. Dominican attempted to mount a late comeback, but the Falcons' lead proved insurmountable. CUW never trailed in the contest, leading for 94.9 percent of the game and allowing just one tie.

Concordia dominated inside, outscoring Dominican 44-42 in the paint and holding a 15-13 advantage in second-chance points. Fast-break scoring was also a key factor, as CUW posted 19 points in transition while limiting the Stars to nine.
